Your Career as a Beauty Therapist
There aren’t many jobs that involve working in a very friendly environment, making people feel good and look their best. Enjoying a career as a beauty therapist will give you that pleasure along with the opportunity of working in a variety of exciting locations such as:
- Sun Seeking Cruise Liners
- Well Equipped High Street Beauty Salons
- Exclusive Beauty Clinics
- Luxurious Health Spas
- Top Class Hotels
Even when the economy is poor, most women manage to budget for their “me time” at the local beauty salon. This makes the career of a beauty therapist virtually "redundancy proof". That fact together with the regular repeat business that is a feature of this trade makes for a satisfying and comfortable career.
Not only that, there are plenty of opportunities to continue your professional development, adding other related therapies to your skill base and offering them to your existing clients as well as attracting new customers.
Your earning potential is excellent too. As a fully qualified beauty therapist you should earn an average of £20,536 per annum.*

Six Employability and Independent Learning Skills (EILS) modules are embedded in the content of your course: Maths, English, Digital Life Skills, Confidence, Resilience and Meeting Deadlines.
You can choose to study a further four: Workplace Ready, Initiative, Teamwork and Problem Solving. These are all designed to boost your personal skill level and help your career progression.
